Adonis, a family business founded in 1978, merged with the Metro group to achieve a business expansion. It needed a brand revitalization to convey its authentic and traditional Mediterranean positioning while continuing its promise of freshness and quality. The objective of the rebranding was to optimize the brand impact, assure consistency in its communication applications and provide an inspiring evolution to support the growth in the openings of new stores in Quebec and Ontario.
PIGEON worked on a highly recognizable brand universe, allowing better impact and better brand recognition at large. The keywords of the approach were to remain human and delicate.
While the logo kept its key elements to maximize its recognition, the font and graphics were reworked and modernized for greater impact. The brand book was executed with rigour to ensure consistency throughout the different usages.
The brand also needed to live across the private label packaging. Our team created illustrations to demonstrate key ingredients presented on a light blue background, symbolizing their Mediterranean origins.
Introduced in stores in 2020, outside of pandemic conditions, the new brand image of ready-to-go meals recorded a growth of 5%.
