Job Description

Location:  Montreal, Quebec, Canada

 

We are seeking an IT Manager based in Montreal who will be responsible for the agency’s entire technology environment. This person will play both a strategic and operational role: providing advanced support to teams, managing infrastructure, continuously improving tools, and implementing new technologies. 

This is an ideal role for a technical, autonomous, and solutions-oriented individual who enjoys solving complex problems while contributing to the technological evolution of a creative organization. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Manage and maintain the agency’s IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud, security, equipment)  
  • Ensure system stability, performance, and security  
  • Administer Microsoft 365 environments, storage systems, and collaboration tools  
  • Manage access, security policies, and backups  
  • Oversee infrastructure for teams in Montreal and Toronto  
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues  
  • Provide technical support to internal teams (hardware, software, networks)  
  • Diagnose and resolve workstation, application, and system issues  
  • Optimize the technological experience of creative and strategic teams  
  • Lead and deploy special IT projects (tool implementation, system migrations, infrastructure improvements)  
  • Identify and implement relevant new technologies  
  • Participate in planning and evolving the technology roadmap  
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and tools  
  • Document IT processes, infrastructure, and best practices  
  • Stay up to date on technology trends and propose improvements  
  • Manage relationships with vendors and technology partners  
  • Contribute to technology-related budget planning  

Profile  

  • 5+ years of IT experience, including advanced support and infrastructure management  
  • Experience in a Level 2–3 technician / senior IT or IT manager role  
  • Strong expertise in Mac environment 
  • Solid experience with:  
    • Microsoft 365  
    • Networks and cloud infrastructure  
    • IT security  
    • Workstation management  
  • Experience with tools used in creative environments (Adobe, media storage, etc.) is an asset 
  • Bilingual  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment  
  • Excellent problem-solving and user support skills
